Pantone’s 2014 Color of the Year, Radiant Orchid, seems to have inspired the look of a few new fragrances – and bottle colors.
Britney Spears Naughty Remix and Nice Remix, which Elizabeth Arden launched just in time for Valentine's Day 2014, are in bottles decorated with pretty orchid hues.
(And – this year marks Spears’ 10th anniversary of her partnership with Elizabeth Arden.)
Both fragrances are in the same curvy bottle adorned with gold chains, in a color that looks a lot like Radiant Orchid - except 'Naughty' is a slightly darker hue.
'Nice' is a soft, romantic scent that has kiwi, complimented with cupcake and jasmine petal notes. It finishes with a creamy musk. 'Naughty' is more mysterious, with jasmine petals, white chocolate orchid, and cupcake.

The new Forbidden Eau de Parfum by Victoria's Secret, contains notes of exotic pear, jasmine and amber wood. It's in the brand's signature rectangular shaped bottle, decorated with an ombre effect.
The color changes from clear at the bottle’s base, to deep pink - then purple. and finally black at the top. There’s also a subtle leopard pattern on the bottom half of the bottle.

The Estee Lauder Companies and Donna Karen were also lured by the appeal of Radiant Orchid – or, a version of it.
One of the three newDKNY Be Delicious City Blossom scents is Urban Violet, which launched February 1st.
The lavender-hued fragrance is housed in the brand’s iconic apple shaped bottle. It has notes of mandarin, with red apple blossom and berries; plus dewy petals, freesia and delicate violet.
Even Tom Ford is getting in on the trend for all things purple this year. ELC's Velvet Orchid by Tom Ford is launching in March, 2014 – in the same mysteriously elegant bottle as Black Orchid - this time with a deep purple hue.
The fragrance's star notes are rose oil, jasmine and a new accord of purple orchid that grows in the "wilds of the southern Brazilian coast," according to the brand.
