Beauty Blunders To Avoid: 5 Things Not To Do This Fall With Your Makeup & Skin Care
2014-12-04 12:27:03
A new season is always exciting to prepare for, but sometimes we can all get a little too carried away. Fall is slowly but surely creeping up on us and with the new crisp air, here are five tips to keep in mind before you go overboard:
Don't Hold Onto Summer. It may be hard to let go, but you gotta get over it. Summer has bid us adieu and with the end of the sunny season, it's time to retire certain beauty items.
Looking for eye shadow and compact container?
Bright, bold pinks, teals, neons, shimmery bronzers, and summer fragrances all need their annual time off. Continuing to wear these seasonal shades will have you standing out for all the wrong reasons.
Don't Deep Dive Into Winter. Just because summer is over, doesn't mean you break out the UGG boots and leggings automatically right? So the same should ring true for your makeup.
We know what shades are going to be in this season, but the season hasn't really started yet. You can't go from wearing a coral lip one day to a deep plum or oxblood the next. Rock transitional neutrals and classic reds until the cold really hits.
Don't Neglect Your Skin. Don't you dare put that sunscreen away! This is not, we repeat, this is not a seasonal beauty product! This is a skin care essential!
Just because the air is cooler, doesn't mean the sun lets up. Check out our story on how the sun really sees you and what SPF's we suggest too.
Don't Become A Sasquatch. This is tempting to do after shaving all summer long, but do your best not to let yourself become a hairy little monster this fall.
This is especially true if you wax. Waiting too long in between waxes means more pain when you go to wax later. The longer the hair, means a more painful pull. Besides, feeling silky smooth under all your fall and winter layers will make you feel super sexy!
Don't Buy All New Makeup. Tempting as all the new fall makeup collection are, don't overdo it and splurge on everything and anything.
We always say a few new items never hurts any vanity, so if there's a new must have lipstick or fragrance, get it, but if a trend pops up that you can cover off on with a nail polish or eye palette you already own, save your money!
