The Korean Beauty brand called Lalavesi is not available in any retail stores, but following an emerging trend of late, is instead, relying on online sales and word of mouth for sales. Now, the beauty brand known for its “Akma Cushion,” says it is getting worldwide attention including the United States, where it is currently obtaining sales licenses, in addition to Asia and Europe. Lalavesi is the first brand launched by Korean cosmetics company KB Pacific Co., Ltd., and according to the brand, has been selling 20,000 products a day since the launch of its Akma moisturizing cream in 2012. In 2014, KB Pacific launched Akma Cushion, which it says sells 50,000 a day. According to Lalavesi, they have received hundreds of offers from agencies in Asia such as China, Hong Kong and Japan as well as in America—due to what they describe as a focus on “branding,” without a single offline distributor. “Other Korean cosmetics brands have grown by focusing on market and channel based on sales and distribution,” said Won Jin, CEO of Lalavesi. “They are making profits out of distribution rather than branding even though they have excellent products.” To entice consumers, Lalavesi offers a three-month warranty and free return shipping. The limited edition compacts are collectible-worthy.
