Get Set for MakeUp in Seoul
2017-04-12 09:57:39
Beauteam is hosting the fourth edition of MakeUp in Seoul on April 5 - 6th, 2017 at the Conrad Seoul Hotel in Korea. “The new edition is always an eagerly awaited event by the entire Asian makeup industry,” says Jean-Yves Bourgeois co-manager, Beauteam, the show’s producer.
More than 2,500 visitors are expected to walk the show, which will be on two levels. There will be approximately 60 exhibitors this year, which is a 10% increase over last year, according to Bourgeois.
Visitors—and exhibitors—will represent all aspects of the cosmetics business, including formulation, packaging, and accessories. “South Korea is the third largest cosmetics market in the Asia Pacific region. Sales have reached record levels over the past two years,” Bourgeois adds.
Conference Highlights
Several manufacturers and brand owners from Korea and South East Asia are on the conference schedule this year.
There will also be a roundtable discussion on the evolution of the Chinese makeup market, and another that includes representatives from Australian brands who will discuss the Australian beauty market.
First Seoul — Then Shanghai & Tokyo
Show organizers say the makeup market is evolving very quickly in Asia, and there are three “pillar countries” that represent the diversity of makeup and skin care in Asia—South Korea, China and Japan. Each region has its own cultural identity, which influences beauty trends and consumer needs.
In an effort to most effectively represent each part of the Asian market, MakeUp In events are planned for Shanghai in April 2018, and in Tokyo in April 2019, and then back to Seoul in April 2020.
