Top Beauty Brands in the World—And Most Loved Fragrances

LookFantastic recently revealed the most popular beauty products and fragrances in the world. LookFantastic was one of the first online beauty stores in the UK when it was founded in 1996, and is now Europe's top beauty retailer.
The lists are based on the number of Google searches for over 30 types of beauty products in each country worldwide in 2020.
LookFantastic also reveals the top fragrances for both men and women in each country. The research team determined the top-ranking scents after compiling a list of 142 popular women’s fragrances and 71 popular men’s, and looking at the search volumes for each.

MAC Velvet Teddy Lipstick is the Top Beauty Product in the World
MAC Cosmetic's Velvet Teddy lipstick tops the list for most popular beauty products in 46 countries, including the U.S.Ranking in second place is Benefit They’re Real Lengthening Mascara, which is #1 in 21 countries, followed by Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade, #1 in 20 countries.
Filling out the top ten are Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder at #4; MAC Lip Pencil in Cork at #5, Maybelline Hyper Precise All Day Liner at #6; Estée Lauder Double Wear (foundation makeup) at #7; Urban Decay Naked 3 (palette) at #8; MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Highlighter at #9; and Too Faced Lip Plumper at #10.
MAC's Velvet Teddy also ranks #1 on another list—MAC's Most Popular Lipstick Shades in the World.
There were 266k annual searches for the color. Its popularity was fueled by Kylie Jenner, who once said it was her preferred shade, according to LookFantastic. Most of MAC's most popular lipstick shades are variations of nude, along with a few pinks and browns, except one bold hue—Russian Red, which ranks at #13.
Carolina Herrera is the Most Popular Fragrance in the World
LookFantastic also ranks the most popular fragrances globally, according to search data—and Carolina Herrera's Good Girl is #1 in 42 countries, including Brazil, Italy, and Spain. No doubt the iconic stiletto-shaped flacon has something to do with its popularity.Tom Ford's Black Orchid ranks at #2 and is most popular in 21 countries, including the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia. Marc Jacobs Daisy ranks at #3 and most popular in 21 countries, including the UK, U.S., and Australia.
In men's fragrances, Paco Rabanne 1 Million is #1 and the favorite in 26 countries, including the UK, New Zealand and Canada. Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille is #2, a favorite in 22 countries; followed by Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male, which is most popular in 20 countries.
Marc Jacobs & Tom Ford Are Top Fragrance Brands in the U.S.
Google search data shows that fragrance consumers in the U.S. prefer Marc Jacobs and Tom Ford.The top women’s fragrance in the U.S. is Marc Jacobs Daisy, with 726k annual searches. The top men's fragrance in the U.S. is Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille, with 217k annual searches.
